The amazing sand castles by Calvin Seibert

Posted on February 21, 2014

When architecture marries the passion for the incredible sand castles born geometrical sculptures by Calvin Seibert. The New York artist who works as an assistant sculptor and carpenter, surprised by the geometry of its creations, with their lines perfectly squared apart from the usual concept of “sand castle” and also the most popular artistic sculptures. What remains is a surprising result midway between design and architecture.

Calvin Seibert is a sand artist that has the ability to build impressive geometric sculptures out sand. Calvin says, “Building sandcastles is a bit of a test. Nature will always be against you and time is always running out. Having to think fast and to bring it all together in the end is what I like about it.”

Calving Seibert passed away on November, 1st 2013 at age 84, preserving memory with those amazing castles.

Interesting expressions of a variety of forms with no discernible purpose other than the pleasure of building them. I’m into it!
